This cultural day tour will retrace the millennial path that characterizes the history of this famous valley. We will explore an absolutely amazing landscape that is full of majestic churches, big monasteries, humble pievi (medieval rural churches) and wonderful medieval noble dwellings.
The valley is dominated by four beautiful medieval hamlets: Savoca which has been recenlty added to the list of the 100 most beautiful Italian hamlets; Casalvecchio Siculo which is a nice village with an important architectural heritage; Sant’Alessio Siculo which is one of the most appreciated touristic centres of the Ionian coast; and Forza D’Agrò...a true open-air museum.
