Ragusa rises among natural canyons, which are called “cave” in Sicilian, carved into the limestone of the Hyblaean Mountains. The first Christian communities have left indelible tracks in these places full of wonderful flora. For instance, they built deep tombs in order to bury their beloved.
During our private archaeological tour of Ragusa we will visit the Grotta of Trabacche, the Hypogeum of Cisternazzi, and the Catacombs of Cava Celone for an amazing walk at the core of the Hyblaean natural landscape.
