An unusual private tour that will guide you through the authentic beauties of Lipari with the variety, colors, and richness of its landscapes.
We will walk from Punta Castagna, at the foot of Monte Pilato, surrounded by a breathtaking panorama. We will climb along the northern side of the so-called "Rocche Rosse", which are obsidian flows with a typical brilliant black color, while admiring the white pumice mountains, the characteristic floating stone that used to be the most important resource of the island until very recent times. We will then reach the old crater crossing samples of Mediterranean scrub occasionally interrupted by vineyards and cultivated fields. Finally, following a stone-paved road, we will reach the renowned beach of Canneto.
ACTIVITY LEVEL: The excursion does not present any particular difficulties. It is graded easy to medium – on the condition that participants do not present any respiratory condition or other significant health problems like high blood pressure.The altitude reached is around 350 m.
