Inside unexpected and breath-taking scenery, in the middle of a Hyblaean canyon, we will welcome you to a place full of history and traditions: a late 18th-century watermill, completely restored by the owners.
After listening to the stories of the millers and their families working here, and delving deep into the world of Sicilian stone-ground wheat, we will use the organic flour here produced to prepare our lunch.
To do this, we will move to a well renovated and furnished cave, where the expert hands of mothers and grandmothers will guide us to knead either pasta or “scacce”, which are durum wheat pastries stuffed with all sorts of delicious fillings! We will also cook other traditional dishes with local vegetables, herbs and legumes, and prepare a typical Sicilian pastry.
