I grew up loving the local traditions and I have developed a deep connection with the cultural heritage of my homeland.
I graduated in Art History, I studied Drama Arts and played in different drama companies for many years. I have also run a bookshop where I used to organize cultural events. Every tile of my life experiences has naturally drove me to embrace with passion my job as a tour guide.
I truly believe that to really understand art it's essential to learn about the cultural and social context of every artistic event, way before the technical aspects. That is why when I lead a tour, I love to help people immerse themselves into the atmosphere of the historical era I'm describing.
Meeting people from all over the world is one of the perks of this job, which I consider to be a wonderful opportunity to connect with different cultures, widen perspectives, discover differences and, sometimes unexpectedly, common ground.
As a tour guide, my purpose is to make travelers feel, taste and understand the complex and rugged beauty of my island and, ultimately, let them fall in love with Sicily.
