I’m from Augusta, an industrial town with an almost unknown heritage, and my will to rescue this land pushes me to save and enhance it ever since: my university studies and my profession as tour guide are perhaps the proof. My training? Plenty of hikes aimed to students. From 2006 I guided off-the-beaten-path journeys for youngsters, and since then I have been wandering around Sicily and abroad in Morocco and Turkey. I am interested in the research of ancient production processes and I have published scientific papers about pottery and lime production. I love the quiet and intimate dimension of the deepest canyons, but also diving into the chaotic and colorful humanity of the markets as well. I am passionate about cooking, which I consider a profound aspect of a culture, an expression of love towards the others and yourself.

Reviews for Luca
We felt very immersed in Sicilian culture and tradition, our guide Luca’s enthusiasm for this country was very obvious. Lots of opportunities to taste Sicilian cuisine and gain more knowledge of the island’s unique history

Our passionate guide, interpreter, singer, historian, environmentalist, traffic controller, walker and talker!
Thank you so much for the time, effort and energy that you put into everything you did while we were in Sicily. Thank you for taking care of me when I was unwell and for encouraging me to try so many different foods (except Zuzzu!). I have learned so much from you – to learn a country you must look, listen, taste, smell and feel!

Hiking Pantalica
We had a fabulous time hiking Pantalica with Luca. He was very informative, answered all our questions and picked a trek that fit our fitness well.

A great Exploration of Siracusa and Ortigia
We had a wonderful tour with Luca in Siracusa that took things at the perfect pace and left lots of time to explore Ortigia wandering off the classic sights which was the most interesting part! I'd recommend Luca for anyone coming to Siracusa - he is well versed but is happy to let his clients shape the experience.
